DONOR SITE HARVESTING
-
- Local anesthesia will be administered utilizing a relaxing technique to facilitate less discomfort and pain. Hair transplantation is considered a minor surgical procedure. Intravenous sedation is not necessary.
- The use of Zeiss Loop with 5x magnification increases visibility during harvest of the donor strip resulting in less transection of hair follicles.
- Trichophytic closure of the donor area is made to produce an almost invisible scar.
GRAFT DISSECTION
-
- The use of dissecting microscope by a well-trained staff on slivering of hair strip and dissection into micro and mini follicular grafts gives greater yield of hair especially in dealing with white, gray and blond hair.
- The art of coronal vs. sagittal slit technique is done, requiring close attention to hair direction and depth to fit the height of graft. Use of Zeiss loop will increase visibility especially in the eyebrow area.
GRAFT INSERTION
-
- Two-handed technique is used for faster and less traumatic graft placement or insertion of grafts.
- Use of Zeiss Loop with 5x magnification shortens the procedure by increasing visibility, especially helpful in eyebrow restoration.
- Procedure may last 5-7 hours depending on the number of grafts.
- Patients may expect to be in a stress free environment during procedure.
- Entertainment and food of choice will be provided by our friendly staff.
- Patients may expect to go home the same day after the procedure.
